Jonah’s story starts with a struggling prophet trying to do the will of God. The reality of life is, that not only do unbelievers have challenges in their faith, Believers do too. We are living in a day in which we as Christians have done much to damage the real theology of what it means to walk with God. We have become more concerned about our political parties and our doctrines than we have been about truth. We have paraded ourselves as if to say, “If you were really a Christian, you would have no struggle at all.”  The Bible is very open and honest about the frailties of its heroes, and I thank God for being transparent about the failures of people He uses. Living with God is an adventure to be savored, not a destination to be conquered!
