The Five Laws of God’s blessing
Matthew 25:14-29
The good news about living a blessed life is that it is not particular to an individual. God is not fickled. Some people are not just lucky and live blessed because they have something that other people don’t. God wants to bless all of us. When we follow God’s laws we are blessed, and when we don’t we are not blessed. It’s not a question as to whether He loves us or not. He loves all of us whether we live by the laws of blessing or not. It is easy to think about a blessed life only in terms of finances. You may think about people that have a lot of money and they are not Christians and live very sinfully. Don’t ever confuse having money with being blessed. There are people that have plenty of money, but they’re not blessed. Media is filled with stories of movie stars, athletes, and big financiers – all of whom are exorbitantly rich people with plenty of money, but they live miserable lives. God is interested in the financial area of our life, but He wants every area of our lives to be blessed. “It is the blessing of the Lord that makes a man rich; He adds no sorrow to it” (Proverbs 10:22). I would like to have the blessing of money, but, most importantly, I would like it to come into a blessed life!
